Saturday and Sunday Receptionist

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter with a ‘can-do’ attitude, and a polite and professional demeanour, to join our friendly reception team. Our core values are Kindness, Integrity, Positivity and Adaptability.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays

CLOSING DATE: 5th December 2023.

Purpose of position:

To assist with the administration and general running of the Nursing Home.

 Responsibilities

  • Maintaining complete confidentiality regarding all residents and their medical issues and company matters adhering to GDPR Regulations and the Company’s Information Governance Handbook.
  • Liaising with residents and families to provide a supportive and responsive service.
  • Liaising with all departments within the Nursing Home to ensure effective communications between parties making sure that messages have been passed on to the appropriate person accurately and in a timely way.
  • Providing a variety of administrative and general support to senior staff including but not limited to:

    • Manning the reception desk and meeting, greeting and and directing visitors.
    • Answering telephone calls, dealing with routine enquiries taking accurate messages for both residents and staff, either verbally or via email
    • Typing, printing, photocopying, scanning, filing, laminating and other clerical tasks as required – knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook essential
    • Entering Data onto the Companies various systems in an accurate and timely way.
    • Preparing Welcome Packs for new residents.
    • Arranging transport requests such as booking taxis for residents’ visitors or liaising with the Resident Driver in order to organise transport for medical appointments.
    • Dealing with newspaper order requests and queries.
    • Receiving and checking deliveries
    • Ordering and distributing stationary.
    • Assisting the Marketing Department with preparing and distributing marketing material, newsletters and correspondence.
    • Knowledge of the petty cash system.
    • Undertaking such other duties as may be mutually determined from time to time.
  • Working as an effective and co-operative member of the Reception Team, under the guidance of the Resident Liaison Director, to help with the successful running of the nursing home.
  • Adhering to all Company Policies and Procedures.

Training & Development

  • Maintaining and improving professional knowledge and competence.
  • Complete all online Mandatory Training Courses within the required timeframe and attend all practical training sessions and meetings as requested by the Line Manager.
  • Attend and participate in regular supervision sessions and Annual Appraisal as directed by the Line manager.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to audit and evaluation of the services and one’s own practice.

Health & Safety

  • It is your responsibility to read all the company’s policies and procedures.

Due to our rural location access to a vehicle is useful, as public transport to the house is limited.
