Last week the government announced news of a new Coronavirus testing kit which will deliver results in 90 minutes. Delivery in Care Homes is expected to be imminent, although the reliability of the tests at this stage is ambiguous.
As pioneers in the Care industry, Birtley House were asked to feature and Simon Whalley spoke on behalf of our home, our Residents featured below were delighted to take part. Whilst we are pleased with the news, we will continue all good practice measures which have protected us so far.
It is reported that the test will also show those who are developing the common flu. Something which will no doubt be useful in isolating those with symptoms immediately.
