Our Core Values which are at the centre of everything we do. We have always operated with a family ethos and caring approach as the backbone of our business. But we felt these core values needed defining.
Defining them means we can use them as a tool to make sure our staff are approaching everything with these considerations. The K.I.P.A acronym ultimately means that we should always, ‘Be Kind, show Integrity, be positive and show Adaptability’.
The words individually have the following meanings:
Kindness is at the heart of everything that we do. It is the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. It requires you to have respect for and empathy with those around you. Being kind often requires great courage and strength.
Integrity enhances all of your other values and is the mark of those who are open and honest, both with others and with themselves, and who strive for the best in everything they do.
Positivity is about inspiring those around you. Being positive means you are motivated to get things done with a ‘can-do’ attitude and don’t give up. You approach the day with enthusiasm, openness and humour and get the same back. Remember, positive thinking is good for your mental health and is very contagious!
Adaptability creates a person centred environment where nothing is too much bother. Think creatively and outside job descriptions, maintain composure even when stressed and be motivated to learn from your mistakes in a constructive way.
