Dedicated Nursing Care for when it really matters

Nurses Holding Hands

When you think of nursing care the first thing that can come to mind is that care requires a number of complexities and with that comes great responsibility. Nursing care is an entirely dedicated profession that involves a multitude of services that is delivered by a highly trained team with integrity being the key quality that stands out the most when delivering nursing care support. It exudes dependability, loyalty, honesty, and good judgement and respect. All attributes we want to aspire to in ourselves.

But what about when you think about nursing care, its values, and what job roles hold these traits in high regard; you think of those in care and support services or those who devote their lives to the profession such as our hard-working nurses. Our nurses make a considerable difference in many people’s lives; it is considered a calling rather than a career especially for the elderly as they can be their lifeline and connection to the outside world.

However, with the ongoing news from The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) giving us updates regarding the biggest-ever strikes over pay, you can imagine that these strikes really are the last resort for this industry sector. This planned industrial action compounds and highlights the number of nurses, midwives, and nursing associates who are unhappy and considering leaving the profession. Figures from Skills for Care state that since March 2022, 22% of nurses have left through personal circumstances, 18% due to pressure/stress and 13% from workplace culture.
